Anjou Blanc “Le P’Tit Blanc” Sablonettes

4/5 $14.99

I am not really sure I have ever had a Chenin Blanc, but after trying this wine, I feel like I have been missing out. Granted, “Le P’Tit Blanc” is completely organic, bio-dynamic, and unoaked, so I may have had a particularly special version. Overall, this wine is the perfect combination of rustic and earthy, yet light and crisp. I definitely tasted a bit of apple and honey too. It’s the kind of wine that puts to rest the adage that white wines are only for the summer, as I could picture myself drinking this in the fall with some cheese, crusty bread, or any other lighter fare. I also have to note the label, as it is completely quirky and adorable, and all the Anjou Blanc labels have something equally fun.

Advertising professional by day and wine drinker by night, often overwhelmed by the sheer choices in wine stores, I have a tendency to not drink the same wine twice. My biggest tip to all Amateur winos, never swirl the glass in your hand, you just look pretentious. Swirl it on the table and you'll never worry again about that favorite sweater having a big red wine stain on it.
